Toyota today confirmed the specifications of the FT-86 series version, closer and closer to receive the premiere day. The Toyota FT-86 is developing a new model in partnership with Subaru, which will be marketed as a Scion (FR-S). The production version of the Toyota FT-86 is designed to be powered by a 2.0-liter boxer atmospheric engine from Subaru. Toyota is combined on the boxer engine D-4S technology, direct injection system with an injection port add features.
The Toyota FT-86 will be sold with a choice between a six-speed transmission and automatic transmission. For the manual version of the FT-86, Toyota promises a quick and precise shifting
with short-throw, while the automatic models come with steering wheel shift paddles.
