Subaru has released first images and specifications with the BRZ based concept bound to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and the final production version due to bow in December at the Tokyo show.
The car is basically on Subaru version of the FT-86 and called the BRZ Concept STI and is most likely what customers will be able to buy once it becomes available on the market.The BRZ, which goes on sale next spring in the USA is a supplement to the rear-wheel-drive Toyota FT-86.
Like the FT-86, the Subaru BRZ STI concept come with an Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine under the bonnet and in terms of driving experience the automaker says it will be a ‘pure handling delight’.
The production version of Subaru BRZ STI are same powers as the FT-86, which means that 200 horses, but a more powerful unit is rated at 300 HP at a later date resources available. Some of the obvious differences between the GT FT086 in terms of styling, rear, the rear diffuser, which integrates in this case, four exhaust pipes, front bumper on the sides and huge wing positions.
Subaru also said the BRZ Concept STI also come with 166.7 inches long, 70.9 cm wide and 50.4 inches tall with a wheelbase of 101.2 inches. It will run on 215/45R18 tires in front and 225/45R18 rear tires.
