Chrysler has more than a few hot spots to work, as they claw their way out of bankruptcy, and one of them is a lack of new product. Although there are some in the pipeline, no one ready in time for this year’s Detroit Auto Show was so Chrysler has the next best thing and created a new coating for existing models.
With the Jeep, it means the resurrection of an old name. Completed a few years back, the Liberty Renegade model back in the lineup with beefy tires and designed the bodywork of the vehicle, may take a little more soft-road. For Wrangler, Hawaii-inspired model is back with some stickers, a number of blue seat cushions match the new blue paint, knobby tires and a set of “Tiki Bob” logo. Similar in form, the new Wrangler mountain, the trade in a tiki motif probably inspired by the Rockies. Again load model-specific badges and stickers, some new woodwork and a number of strong ties.
