Volkswagen Amarok could be sold in the U.S., according to a report that cited CarandDriver company insiders. There is still no date for the release, but in the meantime is preparing the VW Single Cab version of Amarok which is to be published in the first quarter of 2011.

Details are not yet confirmed, but it is believed that the new model will offer the same engine lineup in the regular version. The Amarok has two economical 2.0-liters, Euro 5-compliant, min common rail TDI engines with 163 hp and a torque of 400 Nm at a low 1,500 rpm or 122 hp with maximum torque of 340 Nm from 2000 rpm. Earlier this year, presented the award in Germany, was with the standard version costs EUR 26, 203, when powered by 122 hp 2.0 TDI diesel engines (basic level). On the other hand, the model with the bi-turbo diesel 2.0 TDI 163 HP equipped, starting from € 28.900 for the version with rear-wheel drive.
