The Lexus IS 250C and IS 350C seamlessly expressive refinement of a hard-top convertible with the quiet and comfort of a coupe. After its introduction in 2010, which is convertible to drive car enthusiasts with an extraordinary request and receive interior and exterior updates for 2011.
For improved efficiency, the optional High Intensity Discharge (HID) are now packed with new headlights, LED daytime running lights. Deep Sea Mica enriched convertible outside and the color palette replaces Ultrasonic Blue.
Within the IS convertible will receive black and silver metallic trim ready for its refined style and sport supplement. Vehicles with the optional Luxury Package can now be equipped with Saddle Tan interior or light gray selections besides black.
The IS Convertible models feature the same powertrain as the IS saloon. The IS 350C’s 3.5-liter V6 delivers exhilarating performance with an outstanding 306 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, 277 lb.-ft. min with torque at 4800 rpm. The IS 250C’s 2.5-liter V6 engine has a great combination of fuel economy and performance. The IS 250C is V6 produces 204 hp at 6,400 rpm and 185 lb.-ft. maximum torque at 4800 rpm. Both engines use aluminum cylinder block and heads, while the service dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that the timing of both intake and exhaust controls.
A direct-type fuel injection provides a cooling effect in the cylinders, so that the high compression needed for maximum energy from the fuel. Apart from its larger displacement, the 3.5-liter V6 differs chiefly in that it increases the gasoline direct injection with port fuel injectors. In light and medium load conditions, these additional injectors help burn precise, increase performance and efficiency, reduce emissions. An advanced six-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel is on the IS 350C standard. The 250C is either a six-speed manual or paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission.
The three-piece hardtop convertible offers open-air freedom with the top down easily by the action of a single switch. Constructed primarily from lightweight aluminum, the hardtop offers surprising space, but with low noise and increases security of the rule found in soft-top convertible. VDIM also interfaces with the electronic throttle system. The IS convertible has large, ventilated disc brakes with four ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and BA. The IS 350C is equipped with a 13.15-inch front and 12.20-inch rear rotors with aluminum four-piston front calipers aid in heat dissipation and stopping power and equipped to reduce the unsprung masses. The IS 250C is 11.65 inches 12.20 inches front and rear rotors.
