The Land Rover Defender is without doubt one of the most respected and best-known off-road models in the world, said the design of a replacement model is a very challenging task, to say the least.

But the British car manufacturer, which now feels controlled by India, Tata Motors, it’s draw time went on and the fans of the vehicle and the consumer for the next generation of the legendary Defender preparation with the presentation of the DC100 concept that will be in Frankfurt arc in next month.

And remember, the new Defender is not as far away as you can think of a Land Rover today confirmed that production of the new model “for the year 2015 is designed”.

Commenting on the DC100 concept car, had to say about Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern, the following:

“Replacing the iconic Defender is one of the biggest challenges in the automotive design world. It’s a car that inspires people around the world, this is not a production-ready concept, but the beginning of a four-year journey to a relevant Defender Design the 21st century. ”

What this means is that to make Land Rover on the level of interest in the design of the DC100, which are positive or negative reactions, and the necessary changes, or perhaps even the styling direction will be assessed not ignite some passion.

“We plan to engage with existing and potential customers to help us finalise the details of the new vehicle,” says Land Rover’s global brand director, John Edwards. “One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to get going.”
