Hyundai European Design Studios in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the Accent SR Turbo Phat and fast, looking every inch a design study for the following Hyundai World Rally Car, suggested an inclination to mid-2007 debut for the 2008 season.
Hyundai Accent SR head is seen on the Melbourne International Motor Show this week, along with the newly launched luxury sedan Grandeur and dressed to impress the three-door Getz SXi.Based hatch variant of the next generation MC Accent range, SR has the look of a targeted high- Small cars with wide tracks front and rear, big flares framing oversized alloys, lowered sports suspension, body kit and big exhaust pipes.

SRs bulging fender flares extend over chrome 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/40 series sticky low profile, high performance tires shod pushed wide front and rear.
SR flared view extends along the sides of the car with Accent SR-badged deep side mounted window.
Their lowering effect is not all illusion, SR squats on lowered sports suspension, front struts and a new semi-independent torsion beam rear suspension with coil-Twist for all. A section of the middle of the rear bumper is a crazy pair of frames fitted chrome trapezoidal exhaust pipes apart. SR’s rump is a significant 180 mm shorter than the outgoing Accent So forget cut off the golf clubs …. This is a car that you drive, not Golf Club.
Projector headlights, grille stylized matte black, power tilt / slide sunroof and rear spoiler achterdak shadow complete the picture.
Under the hood lies a supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine of unlimited high performance, coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. Electronic Stability Control and a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
Inside, still sporty design with brushed aluminum finish and Accent SR’s function metal, leather upholstery, blue-hue instrumentation and a data window in the middle dash.Accent SR is strictly a concept car contributes indications in the direction of Hyundai models in the not too distant future.
