Mugen decided that an extra dose of power injection into the Honda Civic Type R, a hot hatch, debuted in 2010 in a limited edition model of only 20 copies.
Mugen’s Euro division has increased the the engine’s cylinder bore and stroke and created an overall capacity of 2,156 cc. In this way, the output was increased 240-260 hp and maximum torque of 240 Nm at 6,000 rpm, which means that the Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2 is 30 percent stronger than the standard model does.
Except that the car comes with the former Motor Sport derivative functions that look the importance of a tuned suspension, better brakes and an aggressive body kit.
The limited edition of 20 copies 2.0-liter Honda Civic Type R, sold the company only 16 units in Great Britain, and currently is considering offering the unsold Mugen with the newly tuned 2.2-liter engine, but also inviting retune to the owners of an existing motor program.
