If you’re like some of us are here at Motor Trend, they dreamed of the possession of the original Ford Mustang GT-R concept, which the star of the Ford stands at the 2004 New York Auto Show. We remember the Grabber Orange beauty almost around bashing in video games, but if you have a chance to do really wild, last night was your chance. A bidder, seized the day with a maximum bid of $ 110,000 at RM Auctions’ Monterey, California, sold to make his dream a reality.
The famous Mustang GT-R concept is only a recent of a series of Ford concept cars to block cross-Thursday, all part of a charity auction to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Children’s Center, both nonprofit organizations to increase for children. How many of the drugs were halls for the event from his vehicle, the Ford Mustang concept such as hiking and horseback riding sold, but will never be used on public roads, not complied with U.S. EPA and DOT safety and emissions regulations.
We propose that the new owners of some of these concepts can be created to regulate Ford wants to hire on a private road or rail for some time in their new acquisitions. The Mustang GT-R will be a 5.0-liter V-8 in the advance sheets, with several race-oriented changes to its 440 hp. A fully adjustable coil-over suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes and a full roll cage were to make further changes to this car, see Sound to more than drive.
Among the other featured a concept car Ford Thunderbird Supercharged Concept was the 2003 Los Angeles Auto Show. The car was designed to the customers’ interest in a 390-hp-inspired retro throwback gauge, but as they were, the car never went into production. This does not mean you can buy; there is one, when a bidder paid $ 66,000 for the only one on his block (let alone the world) with a factory supercharged T-Bird in his garage. Besides the extra power, this concept has plenty of cool touches, including Gloss Red cam covers, a carbon radiator housing, new front and rear bumpers and an aggressive player with a power bulge hood and various openings. As the Mustang GT-R, it can be strengthened at the contents of the new owners – as long as the road is not public.
A few cars from the sale are strictly for display, no drive train. Among them were the Ford sold forty-nine concept of the 2001 Detroit Auto Show (for $ 67,100), the Mercury Messenger concept of the 2003 Detroit Auto Show (sold for $ 52,250) and the 2002 Lincoln Continental Concept – a design study, which indicated the “suicide door” to revive the classical style of 1960, Continental sold (for $ 56,500).
