Join ECOnetic line-up debut at the Paris Motor Show these days is the new Ford Ka TDCi with standard Ford Auto Start-Stop technology. The improved model city car comes to their customer’s greater efficiency and frequent stops at traffic congestion caused by heavy traffic.
This change improves fuel economy and CO2 emissions by 3 percent for both engines. The 1.2-liter Ford Duratec petrol engine delivers a combined fuel consumption of 4.9 l/100 km (57.6 mpg) and an average of 115 g / km CO2, while the 1.3-liter TDCi diesel engine will achieve consumption 4, 1 l/100 km (68.8 mpg) and CO2 emissions of just 109 g / km.
Ford Auto start-stop system in the Ka is equipped with an advanced battery, starter motor and an enhanced a powerful dynamo.
The voltage regulator module and sensors provide a battery recharging the battery and the power of the electrical components during the swing phase.
To reduce the driver’s fuel consumption as much as possible, the Ka-dash warning light is now offering a postponement.
Ford upgraded the two engines available options for the Ford Ka with Auto Start-Stop system as standard from November 2010. Both engines are also the Euro V emission levels.
