A new show of the family TFSI is the new 1.8-liter engine for the 2013 A4 Sedan 1.8 TFSI which also available for the Avant. The 2013 A4 Sedan 1.8 TFSI engine has many innovative new features, the control valve and lift them up, the new thermal management system, the fuel injection system, the turbocharger and the integration of the exhaust manifold in the cylinder head. In Europe, the refreshed A4 will be sold in sedan, wagon, Allroad quattro and high-performance S4 versions. Audi says the S4 will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in five seconds, has a top speed limited at 155 mph and returns 29.4 mpg on the European fuel-economy test.
Behind the top value for the new Audi S8 are the combined technologies of the Audi modular efficiency platform, including the recuperation and start-stop systems. The newly developed “cylinder on demand” technology plays a particularly large role. Under part load, it deactivates four of the eight cylinders for an efficiency gain that is particularly pronounced at moderate highway speeds. A package of acoustic measures including the Active Noise Cancellation system suppresses possible intrusive noise and vibrations. The 2013 A4 Sedan 1.8 TFSI fuel consumption on average sedan is really only a 8.0 liters per 100 km (29.40 U.S. mpg) – by having an impressive performance: The Audi S4 accelerates in 5.0 seconds from zero to 100 km / h (62, 14 mph) and reaches an electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km / h (155.34 mph).
