Ferrari premiered this week in Fiorano the 458 Italia Grand Am. The Ferrari 458 Italia Grand Am is on the GT3 version of the V8 Ferrari Berlinetta and was developed in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili. Ferrari 458 Grand Am was built under U.S. regulations in order to compete in the United States. Ferrari says it develops 500 hp and the aerodynamically less efficient than the GT version of the 458 Italia.
The Ferrari 458 Italia Grand Am has several changes, including a 48 mm aperture, a new braking system with ABS, traction control, a rollover bar and Continental tires.
The engine of the Italia Grand Am is limited to a maximum of 8,000 revolutions per minute.
The Ferrari 458 Italia Grand Am is on 26 and 27 July at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida preparing for the 2012 U.S. championships tested.
