Chevrolet presented today at the 2011 Seoul Motor Show, the new Mi-ray Roadster concept to mark the launch of the brand in the Korean market. Mi-ray future means in Korean, the new concept is the future possibilities of the brand from GM. The Chevrolet Mi-ray was developed at the GM Advanced Design Studio in Seoul combines an extreme design with hybrid drive technology. not expect Chevy’s Mi-ray-see approach as a production car any time soon. However, GM says that a certain style elements premiere in the Mi-ray concept is the way in the future to find vehicles.
The Chevy Mi-ray concept of the aerodynamic body of modern fighter jets, inspired the 1963 Monza SS and the 1962 Corvair Super Spyder. The concept is made of carbon fiber and carbon fiber
(Carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and comes with a Le Mans racer-wing doors. The Chevrolet Mi-ray also has headlights with daytime running lights, carbon fiber spoiler LED. Chevrolet Mi-ray concept is based on aluminum-carbon fiber composite 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch wheels in the rear.
The Mi-ray uses two electric Chevrolet engine architecture, both are located in the front and the development of 15 kW. Mi-ray motors are powered by a 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that gets its power from regenerative braking energy. The Chevrolet Mi-ray is capable of front-wheel drive to rear-wheel-drive.
The electric motor is used for driving in the city. If you want performance, the Chevrolet Mi-ray also has 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. The drive train of the new Mi-ray Chevys concept is complemented by a dual clutch transmission (DCT).
