DETROIT – Cadillac insists that the rumors about the death of his Cadillac Converj speculation and will not say officially when the companion vehicle to the Chevrolet Volt dead or alive.
“It is neither on nor off,” Cadillac spokesman Nick Twork told Inside Line on Wednesday. “I have no definitive answer one way or another.”
He added: “To say that it would mean dead or alive, it would be a production car. The car is a concept. It’s always been a concept. We are actively studying.”
Speculation in the automotive Media Center to ensure that the GM Converj because the car manufacturers could not produce a hybrid called off on the platform of the Volt that could compete with rival luxury brands. GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz – the leading advocate of Converj’s – at first to retire May the future looks bleak after Converj reports.
“Once the Converj Lutz is no pattern,” Inside Line Twork proposed.
“I do not know about that answer,” he said. “We continue with the Volt. We believe in the technology. And we are looking for great things for the Cadillac portfolio in the future.
“If [Converj] was dead, would you say?” Inside Line Twork said.
“No,” he said. “We want to here a mystery. I know it’s an old-fashioned idea these days.”
