Designed to bridge the gap between the 400 horsepower CTS-V series and the 255-hp base model with the CTS Sport entire bridge connects improved performance and subtle adjustments to a striking exterior midpack Player. The combination of a centrifugal compressor and a Corsa cat back pressure system increases the standard 3.6-liter V6, the output of 255 to an even 300 hp. The stock five-speed automatic transmission remains, but the suspension was reinforced with a few parts from the V-series model with a series of 18-inch alloy wheels and drilled rotors. Other exterior changes to the mounted body-color painted front grille, side skirts and a comprehensive small spoiler is limited. Interior improvements include replacing the standard model pieces of wood with leather upholstery and metallic trim and an additional two more speakers for the Bose premium audio system.
As fortunes continued to improve Cadillac, the luxury-car maker continues to expand its lineup of special models that seek to expand its appeal to a broad audience. The modest nature of the improvements to the CTS Sport is a good sign that this is a production model in the near future.
