Inconel quality allowed BMW engineers to reduce the thickness of the tube from 1.5 mm to 0.8 mm, resulting in a weight reduction of about 40% or about 20 lbs. compared with the standard exhaust system.

The new market could be purchased and installed by any authorized BMW center at a cost of $ 4,374 plus installation.
