BMW has a long history in cooperation with the MotoGP. And the safety of the track and the race itself, a new BMW official safety car and other fleet cars for use by the IRTA and Dorna Sports Management will ensure that team to the officials.

Beginning 19 March, the BMW 1-Series M Coupe will be launched for the first time as the official safety car, about a month before its launch in late April.

It has built a unique model specifically for the racing series and is equipped with traditional BMW six-cylinder with twin turbochargers has been for a total capacity of about 340HP, which is the same engine for the production model given.

The Safety Car is equipped with a carbon fiber-reinforced hood with large air inlets and polycarbonate side and rear windows to save weight. Inside will remove the 1-Series M Coupe is a roll cage, a rear bench with two buckets with 6-point racing harnesses, a fire extinguisher and Alcantara.
