ABT Sportsline has a preview of the coming tuning program for the new generation 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, now they call it Speedle.

Based on the idea that the new Beetle to be agile and fun to drive, is ABT power upgrades for all engines currently offered services and also the 1.2-liter TSI belong with 105 hp (77 kW) increased to 140 hp (103 kW is), the 1.4-liter TSI get 210 hp (154 kW) instead of 160 hp (118 kW) and 2.0-liter turbo, which will be assessed at 210 hp (154 kW) instead of 200 hp ( 147 kW).

The diesel engines are not to be overlooked, such as ABT promises the 1.6-liter with 105 hp (77 kW) to 125 hp (92 kW) and 2.0-liter TDI with 140 hp increase (103 kW) to 170 hp (125 kW).

As you can see from this first group of images, visual upgrades are also on the tuner-do list. Except with a lower center of gravity, the 2012 ABT Volkswagen Beetle comes with custom bumpers, new side sills, headlight bezels and a silencer with oval tailpipes.

ABT finished the beetle sitting on 19-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires wrapped. More details will be published at a later date.
