Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is the first full hybrid diesel vehicle. The combination of an efficient 2.0-liter 163 bhp HDi diesel engine and a 37 hp electric motor is the optimal combination for a hybrid vehicle. The Peugeot 3008 Diesel HYbrid4′s offers a superior Drive Cycle combined fuel consumption of 74.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 benefits of the combined strength of the HDi diesel engine and electric motor during acceleration and when an immediate increase in power is required. The maximum combined output is 200 hp, 163 hp 2.0-liters HDi FAP in the diesel engine and 37 hp from the electric motor. A maximum torque of 500 Nm available, spread over 300 Nm at the front of the HDi diesel engine and 200 Nm at the rear axle is generated by the electric motor.

Freedom and simplicity of the application with the option of choosing four different modes: ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle), all-wheel drive, auto and sports. In “Auto” mode, electronic management of change between diesel and electric motor for maximum efficiency. The second choice is “ZEV mode, in which case, the car runs on pure electricity, to a maximum distance of 4.5 km or 2.8 miles to go. The original layout of the system allows HYbrid4 wheel drive. The HDi diesel engine drives the front wheels while the electric motor (in the rear-drive) drives the rear wheels.

* The electric motor takes over from the HDi diesel engine during periods of low electricity demand, especially during start, driving slowly and slow down (for the energy recovery). These are precisely the qualities that characterize the urban traffic.
