After a waiting time was much longer than any of us, Chevrolet finally delivered the goods: the 550-plus horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V-8 version of the Camaro. Most expect that it is the Z28, but it is the ZL1. And it’s pretty awesome.

It is expected, we are folk performances make often quite simple. Give us a lot of energy, wrap it in a shiny box, and the price is good, and we are happy. Of course, the reality is often away some of the romance, and this is the case with the ZL1 Camaro, but we are looking forward to the opportunity to be offended by it our morning breath.

In addition, a high torque MG9 version of the Tremec is TR-6060 six-speed gearbox, a dual-mode from the Corvette, an enhanced drive shaft and rear axle setup, a high-slip differential, magnetic suspension with two borrowed exhaust Driver modes selectable, 14.6- and 14.4-inch front and rear disc brakes, six-piston brake calipers front and four-piston out back, plus a number of internal and external changes that can best be seen in the pictures.

All standard Camaro colors will be available to the outside world, but it will only be in black on the inside. All ZL1s also get heated leather seats, and find the standard content, in the 2SS package for the Camaro SS.
