Chevrolet Sonic Announced in North America
Chevrolet has officially announced the new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, the small gasoline engine and sedan later this year will be assembled in Michigan and replace the Aveo in North America introduced.
Sonic shares its engines with the compact Chevy Cruze larger, including a standard 135-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, atmospheric, and an optional 138-hp 1.4-liter turbo four. The 1.8 can be combined with either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.4 Turbo comes with a manual transmission.
Standard features include electronic power steering, electronic stability control and 10 airbags. Among the options are remote start, heated front seats, a sunroof, 17 inch alloy wheels and a smartphone app MyChevrolet MyLink OnStar vehicle connectivity.
