Audi has unveiled their 2012 DTM Racer on the facelifted version based of the Audi A5, as a replacement for the current platform, a competitor comes out of the A4.
The 2012 Audi A5 DTM Racer uses a V8 engine to 455 hp with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a steel roll cage evaluated. The engine is paired with the same 6-speed sequential gearbox in the previous season.
On the outside of the 2012 Audi A5 DTM racer comes with a range of motorsport specific body parts that are critical in providing the necessary downforce at high speeds. These include a large rear spoiler, a modified front spoiler with side winglets, wing extensions and special racing tires to cover that.
