Unlike traditional entries in the fast growing compact hatchback / crossover market today, all new JUKE offers bold styling, an unexpected performance and advanced vector-coupling AWD system with powerful technology usually reserved for more expensive cars.

JUKE aggressive styling brings a breath of fresh air to the segment. Built on a proven global B-platform, Nissan, JUKE looks exactly like floating – Fun, bold and exciting. It has a powerful front-end treatment with the blinkers in the front fenders, a high belt line and the coupe-like roof line is integrated. Other notable details are painted in body color mirrors and door handles forward, “hidden” behind the door handles and standard 17-inch wheels and tires.

The interior is just as aggressive with the front seats reinforce JUKE, a comprehensive instrument panel and center console, a unique inspired by a motorcycle tank and ended with a lacquer finish. The circuit is on the top of a high placed gear for sporty driving console. In the rear, a 60/40-split folding seat and a flat floor for passengers and cargo flexibility. Available interior of leather seats and rear-appointed monitor Nissan Intelligent Key ™ with Push Button Ignition and Nissan Navigation System with XM ® Navtraffic ® REAL-Time Traffic information (XM ® subscription required, sold separately). A long list of standard safety components features is also includes six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).

Powering JUKE is a standard 1.6-liter direct-injection gasoline (DIG ™) Turbo, 16-valve DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine made of aluminum alloy at 188 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. Two programs are offered – Nissan CVT ™ Advanced Xtronic (Continuously Variable Transmission) with mode and a six-speed transmission (SV and SL FWD FWD models). Fuel consumption is rated at 27 mpg city and 32 mpg highway on FWD CVT models juke.

AWD system distributes torque vectors JUKE torque 50:50 between front and rear wheels to the front and is also on the part of the torque-to-split at the back. When cornering, the system helps reduce edge under Steer improvement of the vehicle to feel in turns.

Another new technology to Nissan debuts on the JUKE innovative Integrated Control (I-CON system). It combines the control of the automatic A / C and the three-switch-drive – for the normal everyday life, sports performance for a more intense feeling and Eco for maximum efficiency, adjusting the throttle, transmission (CVT-mapping) and the precise steering feel for the rider wishes to ride.
2011 Nissan Sports JUKE Cross will go on sale in October 2010.
