2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe introduced to achieve the latest and most dramatic in the series of brand new designs to production. Scheduled to arrive in Cadillac showrooms in the spring of 2010, the CTS Coupe, a new luxury sports coupe is at the heart of the revised lineup designed by the brand.
“CTS Coupe is the express focus of the new Cadillac, both our design and engineering capabilities,” said Bryan Nesbitt, general manager, said of Cadillac. “The idea is, to a new generation of car enthusiasts.”
Coupe joins the CTS Sport Sedan, the 556 hp (415 kW) CTS-V and the new CTS Sport Wagon as the basis of the Cadillac range. A high-performance V-Series edition of the Coupe will be released in 2010.
The CTS Coupe design carries over virtually unchanged from the concept car that, on the North American International Auto Show in Detroit was introduced in 2008.
The coupe has a classic 2 +2 arrangement strengthened with advanced technology, coupled such as a rearview camera and a performance-oriented suspension with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Design:
CTS Coupe emerged as a proposal in the Cadillac dedicated design studios, where designers develop and produce the brand of Art and Science design philosophy.
“Cadillac has always been an emotional brand – it is about art supply, regardless of the type of building,” said Max Wolff, director of exterior design for Cadillac. “The CTS Coupe, it was a question of having something very strong – the CTS Sport Sedan – and expand their potential.”
The coupe has the same wheelbase as the CTS, but that a total of about two inches (51 mm) and a lower overall length, two inches (51 mm) is shorter.
