2010 Volkswagen Phaeton debuts

At the Volkswagen plant in Dresden produced one of the most beautiful cars in the world: the Phaeton. The sedan is quality and comfort (air suspension and standard all-wheel drive) is a unique benchmark. The contours are determined by the Volkswagen Design DNA was developed by Walter de Silva, Chief Designer of the Italian group. The Phaeton is available with a choice of two options, wheelbase, rear two versions (three seats / two individual seats) and four engines (turbo-diesel and three gasoline engines). The six, eight and twelve cylinder engines in the power range of up to 176 kW / 240 PS to 331 kW / 450 PS. The standard drive in the Phaeton is a V6 petrol engine produces 206 kW / 280 PS. On the V6 FSI capabilities on the choice of a V8 and W12 petrol engine delivers 246 kW / 335 PS and 331 kW / 450 PS. On the diesel Volkswagen offers a very cost effective and smooth V6 TDI. In Europe it is the best choice of engine for this car. The common-rail turbo direct injection engine delivers 176 kW / 240 hp and the Phaeton V6 (237 kmh top speed acceleration in this case) 0-100 kph in just 8.6 seconds. This is coupled with the average consumption is now only 8.5 liters per 100 km (224 g / km of CO2) reduction.
