Santa Monica, California – Despite various rumors of a supercharged V8 under the hood with the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V an atmospheric 7.0-liter V8 when it goes on sale in 2008.
New pictures of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V surfaced recently and as usual, they were of a tidal wave of speculation about what accompanied under the hood. The most that the rumor was fueled by the hood itself, because it is a pretty big bump that seemed to indicate the presence of a compressor sport.
A popular theory is that the bulge is a supercharged version of the 430-horsepower Corvette LS3 be used in 2008 in order to hide. Another source claims the CTS-V will come to an even more powerful turbocharged power station with as many as 600 hp. The fact that the engine would be a detuned version of the nearly 700-horsepower blown LS7 for $ 100,000-plus Corvette Z07, the same source are planned.
With 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, the LS7 have to speed up more than enough grunt for around £ 3800 CTS-V. Think Mercedes-Benz uses a motor with nearly identical specifications in its 4,000-pound E63 AMG is the quickest sedan we’ve ever tested.
